Researches on Surfactant Development

The Surfactant development was carried out by the strategy optimization of the tropical biological resources utilization to generate renewable and environmentally friendly surfactant product. The surfactant based on biological resources was needed to meet national demand and reduce import dependence. The research activity of surfactant development covers feedstock exploration, synthesis, surfactant processing and technology, and application of the product in various industries. The application of vegetable oil-based surfactant has been conducted for :

  1. Enhanced oil recovery (EOR)
  2. Improved oil recovery (IOR)
  3. Insecticide and herbicide formulation
  4. Personal care products
